A String-Driven Dream Pop Journey Through Love, Loss, and Resilience

Los Angeles-based artist Dolce Wang announces the release of her new album, Any Other Way, an emotionally rich collection of shoegaze, indie folk, and electronic dream pop that embraces vulnerability as a source of strength. Named after the musical term meaning “sweetly,” Wang’s artistic journey began with years of classical cello training, studying composers such as Haydn, Brahms, and Elgar. Alongside her classical education, she quietly taught herself guitar, drums, and synthesizers, performing in rock and hip-hop bands while developing the genre-blurring sound that defines her work today. She regularly performs using both guitar and a custom electric cello rig, creating immersive live performances that combine lush orchestration with raw indie energy.

Written over the course of a decade while traveling through the United States, South America, Eastern Europe, West Africa, and Asia, Any Other Way draws inspiration from the people, conversations, dreams, and moments of reflection encountered along the journey. Rather than focusing on differences, the album celebrates the universal emotions that connect us all.

The record features an international ensemble that mirrors its global perspective. Serbian drummer Serge Milenkovic, Yugoslavia-born bassist and producer Aleksandar “Meksi” Sasha Panich, and Taiwanese violinist Edith Lin bring together distinct musical backgrounds to create a unified and deeply expressive sound. Together, they craft sweeping arrangements that move effortlessly between intimate acoustic passages, expansive shoegaze textures, and cinematic dream pop.

Fans of Beach House, Japanese Breakfast, Dido, and Imogen Heap will find familiar sonic landscapes, while Wang’s distinctive blend of classical instrumentation and modern indie production offers a voice entirely her own.

Speaking about the album, Wang says, “There is the life that people say you should live, a map already drawn, a path already named. Most of us spend years walking it before we realize we’ve been holding the paper upside down. Any Other Way is what happened when I stopped trying to turn it right-side up. The album was written during a nomadic time in my life, shaped by the places I traveled and the common ground I found between people across the United States, South America, Eastern Europe, West Africa, and Asia. But it was really the intimate conversations, the dreams, and the quiet internal reckoning that let me face love and loss, grief and friendship, with a tenderness I never planned for. This album contains the whispers from the road less traveled, and I wouldn’t have done it any other way.”

To celebrate the release, Any Other Way will make its live debut on July 25 and 26, 2026, at Venia Studio in downtown Los Angeles as part of an immersive underground concert experience presented by Anima Initiative, Dolce, and Bravewyld. Combining ambient soundscapes, installation art, mixed media, and fashion from local artists, the event invites audiences into an intimate and cathartic evening culminating in a full performance by Dolce Wang and her band.

Guests can expect an experience designed to slow time, encourage reflection, and foster genuine human connection through music and art.

Singer-songwriter Bear Bolton marks a milestone birthday with the release of her deeply personal debut album, Time To Revive, an honest collection of songs that chronicles love, loss, resilience, motherhood, recovery, and the courage to begin again.

Written over the past three years, Time To Revive is the culmination of a lifelong relationship with music. Raised in a family where singing, harmonies, piano, and guitar were part of everyday life, music has always been woven into Bolton’s identity. Yet it took years before she felt confident enough to call herself a singer-songwriter.

After building a successful professional career while quietly nurturing a lifelong passion for songwriting, the album represents what Bolton describes as the “evidence” she needed to finally embrace that identity. “I can hear things I’d do differently now, but I’m unapologetic about that. Life isn’t perfect. I was learning how to produce and release music while navigating one of the most turbulent periods of my life. This album reflects that, and I wouldn’t change it.”

Family remains central to the project, with musical contributions from her stepbrother and nephew, while photography and videography were created by her sister. Together, the album becomes not only a personal memoir but also a celebration of family, creativity, and connection.

Some artists spend years trying to outrun the music that introduced them. Arabella isn’t running; she’s simply letting the door close.

Since the release of her debut single, “Drama Queen,” the Mississippi-based singer-songwriter has carved out her own lane through relentless touring and meticulous songwriting. Three SEC college tours later, Arabella has built her audience the old-fashioned way: one room, one crowd, and one carefully crafted song at a time. Rather than chasing trends, she’s earned listeners by writing with unusual precision, transforming deeply personal experiences into songs that feel uncannily familiar to anyone who’s lived through heartbreak, self-discovery, or growing pains.

Her debut EP, People Pleaser, introduced a songwriter fascinated by emotional contradictions, wrapped in polished, hook-heavy pop. With “Designer,” that fascination remains, but the perspective has shifted.

On its surface, “Designer” is a breakup anthem with sharp edges. Beneath its glossy production is something more complicated: an examination of identity, influence, and the quiet arrogance heartbreak can breed. Inspired by seeing an ex-partner’s social media post after their relationship ended, Arabella found herself wondering how much of the person he had become still carried traces of her.

“I couldn’t help but feel that the qualities other people would admire in him were parts that I’d helped shape,” she explains. “It felt like he was walking through life wearing pieces of me.”

It’s an uncomfortable thought, one she no longer believes, but that’s exactly what gives “Designer” its weight. Rather than rewriting history with hindsight, Arabella preserves the emotional logic of heartbreak as it existed in the moment. The song doesn’t argue that those feelings were true; it argues that they were real.

That emotional honesty has become Arabella’s defining characteristic. Her songwriting consistently resists tidy conclusions, favoring emotional snapshots over easy resolutions. If People Pleaser was about learning to survive by meeting expectations, “Designer” suggests Arabella is finally ready to abandon them.

Visionary producer, songwriter, and creative executive Cece steps into a bold new era with her latest release.

Rising artist, producer, and songwriter Cece, also known as Big Cece (Chinasa Gift Nwokocha), will release the official music video for her new single, “One of One”. Blending commercial appeal with authentic storytelling, the record highlights Cece’s confidence, originality, and creative vision while introducing audiences to the next chapter of her artistic journey.

Born in a small village in Nigeria and later naturalized in the United States, Cece was raised in the Bronx, New York, where her passion for music began through poetry, creative writing, and alternative freestyle rap. Encouraged by her mother to study piano, she developed a strong musical foundation that would later evolve into producing, songwriting, and vocal performance.

A gifted student, Cece attended specialized schools focused on the performing arts, where she excelled in music, writing, athletics, mathematics, and physics. She became known for her creative writing, publishing poetry at an early age and winning a school-wide poetry recital competition. Those experiences continue to shape her artistry today.

In addition to music, Cece received formal training in jazz, Afrobeat, and hip-hop dance, competed in basketball, and participated in theater productions as both an actor and creative contributor. Her ability to combine multiple creative disciplines into one artistic vision has become one of her defining strengths.

Determined to build a lasting career in entertainment, Cece studied business to better understand the intersection of creativity and entrepreneurship. In 2017, she secured her first music partnership through a joint venture with an angel investor and business mentor Matthew Scalaro, leveraging an ecosystem she had been building since 2013 through live events, fashion show concerts, merchandise, financial literacy initiatives, and independent music releases.

Her producer project, If Not Me Then Who, established her as both an artist and a respected behind-the-scenes creative. Released independently in 2021, the project accumulated more than one million digital streams across platforms and showcased her talents as a producer, songwriter, executive producer, and talent developer.

Throughout her career, Cece has contributed to the growth and development of artists including K Camp, Yung Tory, Minz, Bella Shmurda, Capella Grey, Amber Simone, Miriam Sintim, Ivan Brooks, Bad Boy Timz, Hameed, Jahmill, and Remi Roxx. Swiss artist Simao Imani returns with “Jeune Enfant”, a heartfelt new single that blends neo-soul, alternative R&B, jazz, indie folk and indie pop into an intimate reflection on growing up, healing and reconnecting with the child within. Running for 3 minutes and 14 seconds, the track offers a gentle yet powerful reminder that personal growth begins with compassion for every version of ourselves.

Drawing inspiration from artists including Blood Orange, SZA, Clairo, Bon Iver, Laufey, Grent Perez and Brent Faiyaz, Simao Imani creates music that pairs warm, organic production with reflective songwriting and understated vocals. Twenty years after stepping away from music to afford health insurance following a chronic illness diagnosis, songwriter Stephen Canfield returns with the debut album from Healthcare, a deeply personal collection of songs that turns loss into purpose.

The self titled album blends Americana, indie folk, ambient music, and expansive instrumentation into a sound shaped by artists such as Emmylou Harris, Wilco, Maggie Rogers, Boards of Canada, Brian Eno, and The War on Drugs. Recorded with collaborators who have worked alongside Kacey Musgraves, H.E.R., Daniel Caesar, and other acclaimed artists, the record explores themes of illness, resilience, grief, and renewal through richly layered arrangements and intimate songwriting.

Healthcare also carries a mission beyond the music. One hundred percent of profits from physical album sales will be donated to MusiCares to help provide essential medical care for musicians in need.

“I didn’t pick up an instrument for more than a decade,” says Canfield. “These songs came from the emotions I never had the chance to process during that time. Making this record became a way to tell that story, but also to support people facing similar challenges today.”

Much of the album is inspired by the Celtic idea of “thin places,” spaces where the boundaries between life stages, physical and spiritual worlds, and transformation become less distinct. Canfield sees chronic illness as its own kind of threshold, one that reveals both human vulnerability and unexpected beauty.

“The music lives in that liminal space,” he says. “I think that’s where we grow.”

Raised in Virginia, Canfield developed an early love for folk music through artists such as Leonard Cohen, Emmylou Harris, and Cat Stevens before attending Berklee College of Music, where he found a community of musicians equally drawn to timeless songwriting. After leaving music, he remained active in the industry, working on projects with artists including Björk, Kamasi Washington, and FKA twigs while working at Red Bull and WeTransfer.

The album reunites several of Canfield’s longtime collaborators from Berklee while embracing a sonic world that pairs pedal steel, acoustic guitars, and piano with modular synthesizers, Omnichord, Mellotron, and ambient textures.

The project’s visual identity was created by two time Grammy Award winning designer Lawrence Azerrad, whose celebrated work includes Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot as well as albums by Death Cab for Cutie, Sting, and Ringo Starr.

Former KCRW host Tricia Halloran praised the album’s writing simply as “10/10 songwriting.”

Outside of music, Canfield is the co-founder of the literary nonprofit 50 Free Books, which distributes free books by historically marginalized authors each month. He is also the co-author of an MBA course for Berklee College of Music. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife.

Following the release of slowdrip’s debut album in March 2026, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Teddy Reimer returns with “Nightflower,” a haunting yet boundless new single that marks the beginning of the project’s next chapter.

At its core, “Nightflower” is a dark inquisition into personal presence. It explores what it means to remain conscious and human within an increasingly robotic environment; one filled with distractions, noise, and subtle poisons that keep people disconnected from themselves. The song balances existential questioning with an undercurrent of surrender; a simultaneous search for meaning and a defiant “fuck it” attitude toward the absurdity of modern existence.

“‘Nightflower’ is definitely a song about feeling like an alien on your own planet and trying to remedy your brain around it,” says Reimer.

The single serves as an introduction to a broader body of work centred around presence, perception, and cutting through the manufactured noise of contemporary life. Across upcoming releases, slowdrip examines how time seems to disappear, the ache of nostalgia that arrives with growing older, and the ongoing attempt to reconnect with one’s truest self—both lyrically and sonically. The songs ask what remains when the toxic layers of the human condition are peeled away.

These themes arrive during a period of profound personal transformation for Reimer. In February 2025, he entered rehab for trauma-informed substance abuse treatment, an experience that has deeply informed the emotional landscape of the music. While not the defining narrative, the process of attempting to feel again has become an undeniable thread running through the project’s recent work.

Born in Duluth, Minnesota, on the shores of Lake Superior, Reimer found early solace in water, forests, and solitude. ‘Raised primarily in a highly conservative environment, his inner artistic world existed passionately without the encouragement to nurture it. He then left home at 18, harnessing the space of independence’ to begin exploring the unknown…

Influenced by artists including Bon Iver, James Blake, Sufjan Stevens, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lil Wayne, Reimer developed a creative voice rooted in emotional honesty, poetic imagery, and restless experimentation. Experiences of isolation, loss, and searching for belonging continue to shape the ever-evolving language of slowdrip. His songs often move through metaphor and rhythmic lyricism in unexpected ways, but always arrive at an emotional center where music and words coexist rather than compete.

Beyond slowdrip, Reimer has built an extensive career as a Grammy-nominated producer, published songwriter, and touring guitarist, performing around the world alongside a variety of artists. While life as a hired musician offered opportunity and growth, an increasing disconnect from his own creative identity led him toward a more personal path.

That path became slowdrip.

Co-produced alongside his longtime friend and collaborator Christian Harger, the project represents Reimer’s commitment to honoring his truest artistic self. With a debut album released in March 2026 and a steady stream of new music on the horizon, “Nightflower” signals a compelling evolution—one less concerned with escape and more focused on learning how to be present.

Derry native Colm Warren has carved out one of Ireland’s most distinctive musical journeys. Best known as the former frontman of acclaimed Belfast punk band The Twenty, Warren stepped away from music for almost a decade before re-emerging with an entirely different artistic vision, trading punk’s raw energy for emotionally charged, orchestral-backed songwriting.

His unexpected return began in 2020 with the release of his debut solo single, Void. The song was followed by Shame and Choked, completing a trilogy exploring themes of grief, identity and the search for meaning. All three releases received widespread acclaim and secured radio airplay across BBC and RTÉ.

In 2021, Warren revealed a more reflective side with Just Me, a meditation on solitude and inner peace, before releasing September Roses on the morning of his young daughter’s fifth birthday.

Following another period away from the spotlight, Warren returned in late 2023 with Truth, a deeply affecting duet featuring Irish actress and performer Maeve Smyth. Described by Hot Press as “a spine-tinglingly intimate, stunning duet”, the song led to an invitation to perform with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra at Dublin’s National Concert Hall as part of the broadcaster’s Christmas celebrations. During the concert, Warren also received widespread praise for his moving piano-led rendition of Shane MacGowan’s A Rainy Night in Soho.

Throughout 2024, Warren released the singles Alright, Dead Days and Thinking of You, each accompanied by beautifully crafted self-produced videos which have now accumulated more than 140,000 YouTube views. Alright, in particular, confronted themes of illness and loss, with Clash describing it as “a moving listen… unveiling a true vulnerability.”

Although 2025 brought just one release, Warren delivered an ambitious and emotionally resonant interpretation of Guns N’ Roses’ Estranged. Rotate praised the recording, writing that it was approached “not as a performer decorating someone else’s work, but as an artist excavating his own history. The result is profoundly affecting. His voice, worn yet resilient, carries the weight of years lived, of battles fought both in public and private.”

Remaining as unpredictable as ever, Warren returned in March 2026 without warning to release Without You on World Down Syndrome Day. Accompanied by an uplifting video created in collaboration with members and families from Down Syndrome Cork, the song is a tribute to Warren’s sister and nephew and is dedicated to “the 1 in 800 babies born everywhere with Down syndrome.” The video was featured as “A Reason To Be Happy” on Newstalk, while The Journal praised both the song and its accompanying film for being “heralded for its efforts to bring inclusion and positivity.”

Now, Warren returns with his latest single, Good Morning, released on 17 July.

Written for his friend and long-time collaborator John Byrne following the death of Byrne’s wife, Christine O’Gorman, in June 2025, Good Morning is an intimate and profoundly moving reflection on grief, friendship and enduring love.

Byrne, one of Ireland’s best-known musicians and arrangers who regularly performs with country star Nathan Carter, has collaborated on every one of Warren’s solo releases. His piano performance on Good Morning forms the emotional heart of the recording.

Speaking about the song, Warren said, “Good Morning was written for my friend and collaborator John Byrne after he lost his beautiful wife, Christine O’Gorman, in June 2025. John has worked with me on every one of my solo releases and recording this song was incredibly difficult for everyone involved, for obvious reasons. I don’t really want to say much more because I’d rather let the song speak for itself. I feel incredibly privileged that John was able to contribute such an inspired piano performance. As always, I’m humbled to work with someone of such immense talent and extraordinary humility. John is a beautiful person who simply doesn’t deserve the pain he and his children have had to endure. I am so sorry for their unimaginable loss. Good Morning is my small way of trying to tell him that. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve created together in Christine’s memory, and I hope John is too.”

Never one to follow trends or industry expectations, Colm Warren continues to create music on his own terms. His songs are deeply personal, emotionally fearless and uncompromisingly authentic. Rather than chasing commercial formulas, Warren writes to confront life’s hardest moments, creating work that quietly resonates with audiences who discover it.

With Good Morning, he delivers perhaps his most moving and personal release to date.
