Dutch Singer-Songwriter Noble Steps Boldly Into Country Music With Empowering New Single ‘Ugly Heart’

Following radio support from ABC Country Australia, ABC Radio, Triple J, and Radio Australia, Noble continues her breakthrough country-folk journey.

Dutch singer-songwriter Noble is entering an exciting new chapter in her career with the release of her latest single, “Ugly Heart,” an empowering and upbeat country anthem that showcases a bold new side of her artistry.

Born and raised in the Netherlands, Noble’s connection to music began long before she could explain it. Drawn to storytelling through song from an incredibly young age, she first stepped into the spotlight as a teenager when she reached the semi-finals of The Voice Kids Belgium. Since then, she has continued to develop her craft as both a songwriter and performer, steadily carving out her own unique artistic identity.

In 2022, Noble released her debut cinematic pop-rock album, Silence, featuring standout tracks “All I Wanted” and “Creeping,” which have accumulated more than 800,000 combined streams. As her songwriting evolved, she shifted toward a folk-pop sound with her EP True Calling, a deeply personal project that ultimately became the catalyst for discovering her true musical home in country and folk music.

On May 8, Noble introduced audiences to this new direction with “chasing space,” a dreamy country-folk single that served as the bridge into her evolving sound. The release received warm support from media outlets including Triple J, Lefuture Wave, Caesar Live N Loud.

Now, Noble follows that momentum with “Ugly Heart,” a spirited and unapologetic anthem about self-respect, boundaries, and rejecting superficiality.

“When I went into the studio with my producer Paul Aiden, we started with a blank canvas as we usually do,” says Noble. “I wanted to create something more upbeat and empowering. Paul started playing a guitar riff that I instantly loved, and before we knew it, we had the foundation of the song. While improvising melodies and lyrics, I found myself writing about setting boundaries and calling out people who value status and material things over genuine connection.”

Inspired in part by Louis Theroux’s documentary The Manosphere, “Ugly Heart” takes aim at toxic attitudes and the growing culture of performative masculinity.

“It’s a song that tells certain men that women aren’t interested in them because of money or power,” Noble explains. “Real connection comes from authenticity, empathy, and emotional depth. ‘Ugly Heart’ is about recognizing when someone lacks those qualities and walking away.”

Originally scheduled for release on June 12, the single’s launch was moved forward after an unexpected radio debut on ABC Country Australia on May 25. The decision quickly proved worthwhile, as “Ugly Heart” received additional support from ABC Radio, Triple J, and Radio Australia on May 30. Just days later, on June 1, Noble’s previous single “chasing space” also made its Triple J radio debut.

The transition into country music has been years in the making.

“When I made True Calling, I was searching for who I was both as a person and as an artist,” Noble reflects. “At the time, I thought I had found myself, but I was really just beginning the journey. Looking back now, I realize that project was helping me discover my true identity.”

The turning point came unexpectedly during a snowy Sunday afternoon in the Netherlands, when Noble wrote her first country song.

“I completely fell in love with it,” she says. “After that, I told my producer I wanted to explore country music. I started listening to artists like Kacey Musgraves, Shania Twain, and Ella Langley, and it felt like an entirely new world opened up. For the first time, I feel completely aligned with who I am and the music I love creating.”

With “chasing space” and “Ugly Heart,” Noble is establishing herself as a fresh new voice in contemporary country-folk, combining heartfelt storytelling, emotional honesty, and modern country influences into a sound that feels both authentic and exciting.

Swiss Queer Shamanic Pop Artist Mané Unveils Transformative New Album ‘The Goddess in the Room’

LISTEN HERE | DOWNLOAD ALBUM | MEDIA ASSETS

A powerful celebration of self-reclamation, queer identity, feminine rage, healing, and empowerment through the immersive world of shamanic pop.

Swiss queer singer-songwriter Mané announces the release of her highly anticipated second project, The Goddess in the Room, arriving June 2, 2026, via Livana Music. Blending haunting electronic pop with ritualistic shamanic elements, the nine-track album invites listeners on a transformative journey of self-discovery, healing, and radical empowerment.

Following years of artistic evolution, personal transformation, and a growing reputation as one of Switzerland’s most distinctive emerging voices, Mané has crafted an album that feels both deeply intimate and universally resonant. Drawing inspiration from artists such as AURORA, Eivør, Billie Eilish, Kiki Rockwell, and Roniit, The Goddess in the Room introduces a sound she defines as “shamanic pop”—a genre where atmospheric electronic production meets ancestral rhythms, intuitive songwriting, and the grounding pulse of the shamanic drum.

“At its heart, this album is about remembering who we are beneath the conditioning, the fear, and the expectations placed upon us,” says Mané. “It’s about reclaiming our bodies, our voices, our intuition, our identities, and our power. The Goddess is not someone we need to become—she is someone we have always been.”

Across nine powerful tracks, The Goddess in the Room follows the symbolic journey of The Goddess as she awakens to her own strength. Along the way, she reclaims her body and her rights, embraces her queerness, confronts inherited trauma, honors her ancestors, and dismantles the systems that seek to silence her. Ultimately, she discovers that the validation and power she sought externally had been within her all along.

The album explores themes that have become central to Mané’s artistic identity, including bodily autonomy, feminism, LGBTQ+ rights, mental health, ancestral healing, spirituality, and self-acceptance. It balances moments of fierce resistance with celebration, sensuality, vulnerability, and joy.

While Mané first emerged through a more conventional pop sound, several periods of burnout prompted a profound reassessment of her relationship with music and mental health. During this time, she discovered the shamanic drum, an instrument that would fundamentally reshape her creative process and artistic vision.

The result is a sonic universe where emotionally charged vocals intertwine with atmospheric synths, ritualistic percussion, and intuitive soundscapes. Each release within the project extends beyond music alone, becoming part of a larger immersive world of visuals, symbolism, ceremony, and community-centered experiences.

“Everything I create is designed to help people reconnect with what feels sacred within themselves,” Mané explains. “I want listeners to feel seen, heard, loved, and empowered—to celebrate their uniqueness, trust their intuition, and remember their own inner wisdom.”

Since 2014, Mané has performed extensively throughout Switzerland and internationally, appearing at renowned venues and festivals including Montreux Jazz Festival, Southbank Centre (London), Hotel Café (Los Angeles), and Threshold Festival (Liverpool). She has shared stages across Europe during a tour with Marzella, with performances in Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam.

Her debut EP, Before the Storm, was fully crowdfunded by her audience and produced by Meya Music, whose credits include Slimane and Florent Pagny. The release received significant radio support across French-speaking Switzerland, earning airplay on Option Musique, LFM, One FM, Rhône FM, and Radio Swiss Pop. It also secured Mané a place among the Top 15 finalists of the prestigious Demotape Clinic at m4music.

Additional career milestones include serving as the lead voice of Coop Switzerland’s nationwide Christmas campaign, being shortlisted among finalists for Switzerland’s Eurovision Song Contest selection, releasing the mental health-focused single High On Flowers, launching a companion podcast supporting womxn artists, and performing once again at Montreux Jazz Festival in 2024.

In 2025, Mané signed with Zurich-based label Livana Music and was selected for Proxima, the artist development program at Les Docks.

To celebrate the release of The Goddess in the Room, Mané will perform special launch concerts at:

June 3, 2026 — Les Docks, Lausanne, Switzerland
June 5, 2026 — The Waiting Room, London, United Kingdom

Performing alongside HEMU Lausanne graduates Gwen Buord (electronic drums) and Mathieu Nuzzo (keyboards), Mané’s live show combines electronic pop performance with ritualistic shamanic drum elements, creating an immersive experience that is both emotionally powerful and deeply personal.

MIIA RETURNS WITH ‘NECESSARY EVIL’: A DARK, CLUB-DRIVEN EVOLUTION OF HER SIGNATURE EMOTIONAL SOUND

LISTEN HERE | DOWNLOAD SONG | MEDIA ASSETS

Norwegian alt-pop artist MIIA steps into a striking new chapter with her latest single, “Necessary Evil,” a dark, emotionally charged track that merges her cinematic vocal identity with a fresh, club-driven electronic sound. Known for her raw, haunting voice and deeply introspective songwriting, MIIA now channels that intensity into the late-night pulse of a dance-pop / UK garage crossover, with speed garage, and bassline.

Produced by Joachim Rygg (JR), the same collaborator behind her global breakout hit “Dynasty”, and mixed by legendary engineer Spike Stent, “Necessary Evil” captures the tension between vulnerability and strength, desire and self-respect. Built on skittering 2-step drums, punchy sub-bass, airy pads, and bright chopped vocal textures, the track is both euphoric and emotionally unfiltered.

Lyrically, “Necessary Evil” explores the courage it takes to choose honesty over comfort. It speaks to those pivotal moments where the right decision feels difficult, misunderstood, or even painful, but ultimately necessary for growth. It’s a song rooted in emotional truth, set against the hypnotic energy of the club.

The release marks a significant evolution for MIIA, bridging her atmospheric pop roots with a more uptempo, dancefloor-oriented sound. While her music has long resonated for its emotional depth, “Necessary Evil” introduces a new dimension, one designed for late-night playlists, dance radio, and immersive live experiences.

MIIA first rose to international prominence at just 17 years old with her debut single “Dynasty.” Premiering on Billboard in 2016, the track quickly gained global traction, landing on Spotify’s New Music Friday and climbing to #2 on the United States Viral 50 chart. Within 23 days, it surpassed one million streams, and nearly a decade later, it continues to resonate with audiences worldwide, now averaging approximately 200,000 daily streams and surpassing 300 million total plays.

Over the past two years, MIIA has been crafting her highly anticipated debut album, “Huldra,” set for release in Summer 2026. Named after the mystical forest spirit from Scandinavian folklore, the album draws on themes of self-love, freedom, and the shedding of shame. It invites listeners, especially women, to embrace complexity, emotional depth, and imperfection, celebrating what it means to feel deeply and live unapologetically.

At the heart of MIIA’s artistry is her close relationship with her audience, whom she calls her “Beautiful Creatures.” Through daily interactions across social media, livestreams, and direct messages, she has cultivated a deeply connected community, one that embraces duality, vulnerability, and authenticity. Her artistic universe is a safe, inclusive space where contradictions coexist and emotional honesty is encouraged.

“‘Necessary Evil’ feels like a defining moment for MIIA; it’s where her emotional depth collides with a bold, club-ready sound. It’s honest, it’s vulnerable, and it marks the start of a powerful new chapter in her artistry,” shares music publicist Danielle Holian, Decent Music PR.

With “Necessary Evil,” MIIA signals not only a sonic shift but the beginning of a powerful new era, one that expands her sound while staying rooted in the emotional core that first captivated listeners around the world.

Katie Dauson Releases Eighth Studio Album ‘Change’

A genre-blending collection inspired by rock and roll legends, personal reflection, and the inevitability of transformation

Singer-songwriter Katie Dauson proudly announces the release of her eighth studio album, Change, a vibrant and eclectic collection of songs that explores transformation, self-reflection, love, and the power of embracing life’s uncertainties.

Hailing from Richmond Hill, Ontario, Katie Dauson has built a dynamic career as an independent artist whose music has been featured in notable publications including Earmilk, Tinnitist, and Sonic Sisters Magazine. A familiar presence throughout Toronto’s music scene, Dauson has performed at notable venues while carving out a path that emphasizes artistic sophistication and musical growth beyond traditional pub culture.

Produced and engineered once again by longtime collaborator James Nickle, Change showcases Dauson’s evolving artistry through an inspired blend of pop, rockabilly, classic rock and roll, folk influences, and heartfelt balladry.

“This whole album is about change, and being able to accept and deal with the consequences of all the changes around us,” says Dauson.

The album opens with its title track, “Change,” a song that transformed alongside Dauson’s own creative process. Initially conceived as an acoustic folk piece, the track evolved into a pop and synth-inspired anthem that ultimately became both the album’s title track and opening statement.

Throughout Change, Dauson draws inspiration from an impressive range of musical influences and vinyl discoveries. “You Say You Want Me” channels modern rockabilly energy inspired by Blondie’s Parallel Lines, while “Life in a Day Dream” blends 1960s-style rock and roll with influences from The Lovin’ Spoonful and Hall & Oates, inspired in part by Hall & Oates’ “You Make My Dreams Come True.”

Dauson’s love for classic instrumentation shines on “Saxophone Fever Blues,” a tribute to the expressive power of saxophone-driven rock and roll inspired by Fats Domino and his legendary live performances. Meanwhile, “We Could Go Dancing,” written during a late-night bout of insomnia, delivers a heartfelt rock ballad influenced by Bob Seger’s Against the Wind.

The album continues its stylistic journey with “Sing the Blues Away,” an uplifting sing-along inspired by The Marshall Tucker Band, and “Ballad of Medusa and Olivar,” a reworked and deeply personal song shaped by the songwriting traditions of Bob Dylan and Electric Light Orchestra, centered on themes of love and redemption.

On “I’m Feelin’ Groovy,” Dauson embraces the spirit of 1960s rock and roll with a celebration of music and joy, while “Lay Me Down” offers an intimate acoustic love ballad born from a moment of emotional vulnerability and inspired by classic Beatles songwriting.

Closing the album is “Mamma Bear Shuffle,” a playful, Dylan-inspired finale sparked by Blonde on Blonde and designed to leave listeners on an energetic and unexpected high note.

With Change, Katie Dauson continues to push her creative boundaries while staying rooted in the timeless musical influences that shape her sound. The result is an album that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly personal; an honest reflection on change itself and the resilience required to navigate it.

Sylvain Zebo Releases New Single ‘Test’: A Dreamlike Blend of French Pop and Emotional Reflection

French singer-songwriter Sylvain Zebo returns with his latest single, “Test,” a sophisticated and atmospheric track that merges French Pop and Pop Rock influences with introspective lyricism and cinematic textures.

Drawing comparisons to iconic French artists such as Alain Bashung, Marc Lavoine, and Etienne Daho, “Test” showcases Zebo’s signature fusion of poetic songwriting, emotional nuance, and refined production.

Built around shimmering synths and a hypnotic chorus guitar riff, “Test” evolved organically during the creative process. “I composed the synth parts with the piano, but it was when I found the guitar riff for the chorus that everything became fluid and ethereal,” explains Zebo. “The lyrics were added later, reflecting on the ups and downs of life, passions, feelings, and love, along with our often dehumanized experiences.”

Entirely self-produced, the single highlights Sylvain Zebo’s multifaceted artistry. He serves as producer, songwriter, arranger, and sound engineer, crafting a deeply personal soundscape that feels both intimate and expansive.

Sylvain Zebo is a singer-songwriter rooted in the tradition of French lyric-driven chanson. Martinican by heritage, he was born in Madagascar before growing up in Lescar near Pau in the south of France. Inspired in his youth by Neil Young and Georges Brassens, he learned guitar and went on to perform in various rock and blues bands while developing his own songwriting voice.

After moving to Paris, he fully committed himself to music, studying singing and piano while performing live with guitar and vocals. His debut album, “Consacre Moi,” was recorded near Cincinnati in 2010 with acclaimed American musicians and financed through the pioneering fan-supported platform Sellaband.

Over the years, Zebo has continued to evolve artistically while maintaining full creative independence. His albums “Masque” (2013), “Longitudinal” (2016), “Fortunes” (2019), and “Enveloppe” (2023) have explored acoustic songwriting, sophisticated pop textures, and emotionally charged atmospheres. Since 2018, he has also performed regularly in Montreal alongside renowned Canadian musicians.

With “Test,” Sylvain Zebo once again delivers a song that is both elegant and emotionally resonant — a modern French pop statement balancing vulnerability, melody, and sonic sophistication.

“Test” is available now on all streaming platforms.

Emerging UK Folk Artist Jonah Connock Announces Debut Album ‘I Kept Your Secret, Saoirse’

LISTEN HERE | MEDIA ASSETS

“…your art connects in a genuine and human way with the listener.” – Mellow Strings Club

“An absolute jam! (Fly Away)” – Music Glory

“…sombre guitar tones, slow-building rhythm, and emotional depth (Letter to You)” – MBTI Music

Intimate songwriting, evocative storytelling and growing streaming success position Jonah as a compelling new voice in contemporary UK folk music.

With a growing catalogue of heartfelt songs and an expanding audience, eighteen year old, UK singer-songwriter Jonah Connock is emerging as one of the most promising new voices in the modern folk landscape. His debut album, I Kept Your Secret, Saoirse, has already garnered almost 11,000 streams and attracted more than 2,400 monthly listeners on Spotify, reflecting a growing connection with audiences drawn to honest, emotionally resonant songwriting.

Blending introspective lyricism with contemporary indie textures, Jonah’s music explores themes of connection, loss, resilience and hope. His songs are built around expressive guitar work, understated arrangements and a vocal delivery that favours nuance over volume, creating an intimate listening experience where storytelling takes centre stage.

“With a voice that invites you closer and warm, expressive guitar work, Jonah’s songs unfold with a quiet confidence, blending reflective storytelling with melodies that feel both intimate and timeless.”

In live performance, Jonah creates an atmosphere where songs are allowed to breathe, drawing audiences into carefully crafted narratives through stripped-back arrangements and deeply personal songwriting.

The album marks a significant milestone in Jonah’s artistic journey, bringing together eight carefully crafted tracks that trace his development as a songwriter while capturing the emotional depth that has become his signature.

Tracklist

  1. Letter to You
  2. Bones
  3. Black Dress
  4. Tongue-Tied
  5. Fly Away
  6. I Hope That I Don’t Fall in Love with You
  7. Half-Awake
  8. Clandestine

Reflecting on the release, Jonah says, “It’s a surreal feeling to be releasing music and announcing my first studio album. Writing and recording involves a lot of hard work. There are days when you don’t think the song is ever going to take shape or your voice just can’t make the notes. My notebooks are full of half-written lyrics and ideas that may never make it off the page. Working with Adam and Lawrence Purnell to produce the album was amazing – heading into the studio, I thought my songs were finished, but every session bought learning and laughter – and their ideas really helped elevate the songs. I hope you love listening as much as I loved making the album.”

The collection opens with “Letter to You,” the first song Jonah ever wrote, born from a challenge set by his guitar teacher and ultimately becoming the catalyst for the album itself. Across the record, listeners encounter deeply personal reflections, from the poignant vulnerability of “Bones” to the atmospheric storytelling of “Black Dress” and the confessional intimacy of “Half-Awake.”

The influence of Cornwall’s dramatic coastline runs throughout the album, with its shifting tides, storms and seascapes informing both imagery and mood. These settings provide a backdrop for songs that balance melancholy and hope, creating a body of work that feels both personal and universally relatable.

The album closes with “Clandestine,” a song Jonah describes as being about “time passed and the feeling of perpetual possibility”, a fitting conclusion to a debut that looks back with reflection while firmly setting its sights on the future.

As I Kept Your Secret, Saoirse continues to find new listeners, Jonah Connock is establishing himself as an artist whose understated approach and emotional honesty offer a refreshing perspective within contemporary folk music.

Known for crafting atmospheric soundscapes that balance introspection with subtle dancefloor energy, FAVNA continues to refine his signature sound; one rooted in warmth, texture, and emotional clarity.

“Not A Dream” was conceived over a series of warm summer nights, driven by the intention to create something immediate and emotionally direct. Inspired by the stripped-back, hook-focused approach of contemporary melodic house, the track centers around a reimagined vocal, treated not as a traditional topline, but as an instrument in itself. Carefully reshaped and harmonically refined, the vocal drifts through the track with a soft, intimate presence.

The production process began quickly, capturing an initial spark of inspiration, before evolving through detailed refinement. The result is a track that preserves its original feeling while gaining depth and nuance, sitting delicately between nostalgia and clarity. Every element revolves around a singular emotional core, allowing listeners to experience both stillness and movement within the same sonic space.

He is also the curator behind the “Dream Circuit” playlist series, spotlighting emerging and established artists within the melodic and progressive electronic space.

Peter DiMaggio Captures Heartbreak and Hope on New Indie Folk Single ‘Chasing A Trace’

LISTEN HERE | ARTWORK

Following the success of his debut single ‘Fly Away’, Peter DiMaggio returns with his latest single ‘Chasing A Trace’.

Following the warm reception of his debut single Fly Away, award-winning actor, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Peter DiMaggio returns with his captivating new release, “Chasing a Trace,” the second single from his forthcoming project and the latest release through emerging independent label Passeri Records.

Bittersweet yet hopeful, “Chasing a Trace” showcases DiMaggio’s gift for pairing intimate storytelling with lush, organic instrumentation. Built around layered acoustic guitars, evocative slide guitar, and a wistful trumpet performance reminiscent of jazz icon Chet Baker, the track invites listeners into a reflective landscape of longing, memory, and emotional resilience. DiMaggio’s warm, conversational vocal style balances easy-listening charm with deeply personal lyricism, drawing inspiration from artists such as Jack Johnson and Ethan Tasch while establishing a voice distinctly his own.

Recorded and produced across Boston, Los Angeles, and Europe, “Chasing a Trace” represents a significant creative milestone for the Ohio-born artist, who continues to expand both his musical and theatrical careers.

“This song lives in that space between holding on and letting go,” says DiMaggio. “It’s about searching for pieces of something that once felt important, while learning to move forward with hope. Working with an incredible team across different cities and countries helped bring that feeling to life in a way I’m really proud of.”

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, DiMaggio is a self-taught musician proficient in piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, harmonica, and numerous other instruments. His artistic journey has seen him excel across multiple disciplines, earning acclaim both on stage and in the studio. After studying at the Interlochen Arts Academy, Boston University, and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, he has built an impressive theatre career with leading companies including SpeakEasy Stage Company, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Actors’ Shakespeare Project, Sh!t-faced Shakespeare, and Wheelock Family Theatre, where he received an Elliot Norton Award for his performance in The SpongeBob Musical.

Currently, DiMaggio is leading the regional premiere of Swept Away at Boston’s Calderwood Pavilion through May 23. The production marks the first staging of the musical without its original cast, with DiMaggio stepping into the role originally created by Tony Award winner John Gallagher Jr. Based on the music of The Avett Brothers and inspired by their acclaimed concept album Mignonette, the production has already received enthusiastic reviews and recognition from both the band and local media.

Beyond the stage, DiMaggio’s screen credits include the award-winning short films Shampoo (2024) and Dissection Day (2025), as well as appearances on the national and international festival circuit. As a composer, he has written music for the original musical Max’s House and scored the short film The Fairy House.

As the second release from Passeri Records and the second glimpse into his upcoming project, “Chasing a Trace” signals an exciting new chapter for DiMaggio as he continues to bridge his diverse artistic influences into a singular musical identity.

Over the years, Carlotta Schmidt has performed at iconic venues including New York City’s legendary The Bitter End, and New Jersey landmarks such as The Stone Pony, Asbury Lanes, House of Independents, and The Wonder Bar. She has shared stages with a wide range of artists, including 11-time Grammy Award winner Brandi Carlile and Grammy-nominated jazz trumpeter Jon Faddis.

In 2024, Schmidt created and produced the women-led, Lilith Fair-inspired festival Fourth Wave Fest, raising thousands of dollars for a New Jersey nonprofit supporting survivors of domestic violence. In 2025, they received the Emerging Artist Grant from the Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation, followed by a 2026 nomination for Asbury Park Music Awards’ Emerging Artist of the Year (Individual).

At its core, Overthinker is an album about thought itself; its weight, its chaos, and its meaning. “This is an album about thinking. Lots of thinking. Perhaps over-thinking,” Schmidt explains. “My life changed so much between my first and second albums. I came out, I experienced devastating loss, I worked with heroes… everything that was happening was constantly swirling around my head.”

The album spans themes of love, grief, anxiety, longing, identity, and transformation. Written over approximately four months, each song was created by Schmidt alone, composed on a 1979 Guild D55 acoustic guitar, frequently in quiet solitude on her bedroom floor.

Schmidt self-produced Overthinker, choosing to maintain full creative control. “I had a very clear vision in my head for every aspect of the album. I spent hours reworking mixes, arrangements, and every small detail,” they said. “I loved the independence of being my own producer. I found it to be a very empowering and rewarding experience.” The Bold features guitarist Mike Flynn, bassist Paul Avrutin, and drummer Lee Finkelstein (of the original Blues Brothers Band). Each brought distinct musical experience and personality into the recording process, helping shape the album’s dynamic foundation.

The record also includes standout contributions from Dave Eggar, whose free-form cello arrangements added unexpected depth, and Lyris Hung, whose violin work brought emotional texture. Hung’s involvement was especially meaningful for Schmidt, who has long admired her work with the Indigo Girls. “I didn’t think she would say yes,” Schmidt shares. “But she did. And working with her was unforgettable.”

Let Me Be Me” is an anthem of identity and self-acceptance. The track quickly became a personal favorite for Schmidt and a fan highlight. Its music video features 67 participants from around the world holding lyric cards, amplifying its message of unity and queer visibility. “Oyster and Pearl” features both lap steel and violin; this track blends emotional contrast and sonic experimentation. “Woman Crush Wednesday” is a playful, high-energy track that showcases Schmidt’s expanded vocal and guitar range. “I Just Want To Talk To You” is a deeply personal tribute to Schmidt’s late mentor of ten years, and the only track featuring the full ensemble of The Bold, Dave Eggar, and Lyris Hung. “Rosalie” is the first collaboration with Lyris Hung, notable for its layered string arrangements and evolving studio experimentation.

Symonne Announces New Single ‘The Way You Love’

A Nostalgic, Emotion-Driven R&B Release Exploring Memory, Identity, and Emotional Intensity

LISTEN HERE | MEDIA ASSETS

Independent singer-songwriter Symonne returns with a deeply reflective new single that captures the emotional weight of memory, identity, and the quiet echoes of the past that continue to shape the present. Blending chilled R&B, contemporary soul, neo-soul, and pop influences, Symonne continues to refine a sound that is unmistakably her own, intimate, atmospheric, and emotionally direct. Her music balances vulnerability with melodic warmth, offering listeners a space to feel deeply and reflect honestly.

Symonne is a dynamic singer-songwriter from London whose artistry is rooted in emotional storytelling and genre-blending soundscapes. Music has been part of her life since childhood, from car-ride soundtracks to nursery rhymes sung by her grandfather, Andrew aka Sonson, shaping an early connection to melody and feeling.

As she grew, she began experimenting with vocal mimicry and tone, exploring the textures of artists she admired. That curiosity developed into a committed passion for songwriting and performance, forming the foundation of her distinctive artistic identity.

Living with BPD has intensified Symonne’s emotional perception, allowing her to translate complex internal experiences into raw, relatable music. Her songwriting often explores relationships, heartbreak, and the subtle emotional moments that define who we become.

As a proud independent artist, Symonne has already received support across major UK platforms including airplay on BBC 1Xtra and Rinse FM, as well as features in WORDPLAY Magazine. She has also performed live at The Courtyard Theatre, continuing to build a reputation for emotionally resonant live performances.

The new release, ‘The Way You Love’ is a warm, atmospheric R&B track rooted in nostalgia and emotional memory. It reflects on the people, moments, and past versions of oneself that linger quietly in the mind, not as longing, but as lasting emotional imprints that continue to shape the present.

Written during a reflective period, the single draws on Symonne’s lived emotional experience, including her relationship with BPD, which often heightens the clarity and intensity of memory. This perspective allows her to transform personal recollections into something cinematic, intimate, and universally relatable.

Musically, the track features smooth R&B melodies layered over soft, nostalgic production — warm chords, subtle harmonies, and a vocal delivery that balances tenderness with emotional depth. The result is a soundscape that mirrors the experience of revisiting a memory you can’t return to, but still carry with you.

This release marks a reflective chapter in Symonne’s artistry, reinforcing her ability to turn lived experience into storytelling that feels both personal and shared.

To accompany the release, Symonne is collaborating with Maryam (@maryam._.graphics) — an animation creator known for her relatable, emotionally expressive, and “girly storytelling” style — to launch a short-form visual campaign introducing the single.

Through animated vignettes, the campaign will bring the song’s nostalgic and emotional themes to life in a way that feels intimate, modern, and highly shareable. The collaboration forms the creative core of #SadClub26, a focused rollout designed to connect audiences to the emotional and relationship-centred narrative behind the track.

Symonne continues to grow a highly engaged audience through TikTok via TikTok under the handle @SoftVoicesWithin, where she shares soft, emotionally grounded content that raises gentle awareness around living with BPD
