After more than two decades of restless experimentation across genres, UKofA returns with Time Will Take This All Away From Us, a bold and immersive new album that distills years of sonic exploration into a cohesive, forward-looking statement. Known for moving fluidly between hardcore metal, experimental composition, and alternative rock, UKofA channels a lifetime of influences into a record that feels both deeply personal and strikingly expansive.

Rooted in a process shaped by years of work as a video editor, surrounded by library music, sound effects, and the strange blur of functional audio, Time Will Take This All Away From Us transforms the mundane into something vivid and emotionally resonant. Drawing inspiration from sample-driven experimentation and artists who recontextualize everyday sound, the album pulls from an eclectic palette: fragments of found audio, unfinished demos, YouTube rips, and live instrumentation all collide and recombine. The result is a genre-blurring work that moves between electronic, rock, and alternative spaces with ease, while maintaining a distinct, unified voice.

Originally conceived as a hip-hop-leaning project, the album evolved organically, with some tracks remaining close to their sample-based origins and others expanding into more traditional arrangements. Dialogue samples that once dominated early versions have been pared back, leaving space for the music to breathe. Recorded and mixed primarily in a home studio, with live drums captured in a rehearsal space and mastering by Big Sea Productions, the album also arrives alongside a custom-built 3D gallery environment, an immersive digital space where listeners can explore videos from this and previous releases.

NICE THINGS
Opening with a sample from The Shout (1978), “NICE THINGS” is dense with layered samples and nods to early ‘90s West Coast hip-hop. It functions as a sonic reset, an abrupt clearing of the palette. Beneath its sunlit surface lies something more uneasy: a dark reflection on summer that hints at hidden dangers beneath calm waters.

GATE OF FLESH
A fusion of hip-hop structure and folk-inspired melody, “GATE OF FLESH” combines disparate ideas into a cohesive whole. Droney guitar textures and interval harmonies underpin lyrics that explore birth and the tension of entering existence. The track carries a raw, elemental quality, enhanced by its handmade visual counterpart.

PUT YOUR FAITH IN ME
The final piece written for the album, this track emerged quickly but decisively. Built with contributions from Paul Astick, it blends industrial weight with melodic ambition. Lyrically, it examines the pull of unhealthy cycles, driven by the seductive promise of success.

LIKE WE WERE NEVER HERE
The origin point of the entire project, this track is constructed largely from library music samples. It reflects on time, past, present, and future, grappling with the scale of human experience against an almost indifferent universe.

COMMIT
What began as a guitar idea transformed into a synth-driven track with a distinct rhythmic identity. Though live drums were recorded by Ben Koller, the final version leans into sampled textures. The track captures a sense of evolution and reinterpretation, with another version still to come.

CHANGE MY MIND
Featuring a sample from The Fly (1986), this track channels frustration with contemporary political discourse. It’s sharp, direct, and unflinching, reflecting the difficulty of disengaging from a noisy and often reductive public sphere.

MISTER OBLIVION
An instrumental bridge, “MISTER OBLIVION” shifts the album’s tone. Built around processed ebow guitar, it feels fluid and almost organic, like a living, breathing entity guiding the listener into darker territory.

WATCHTOWER
Driven by piano written during lockdown, this track explores the uneasy aftermath of achieving power. With live drums and a carefully constructed percussive feel, it builds a sense of tension between ambition and uncertainty.

THE JOKE IS THE SAME
Cinematic in scope, this track reflects on shared human experience, love, loss, and the strange simultaneity of the digital age. It captures both intimacy and distance, suggesting that no matter where we are, we’re all navigating similar struggles.

WHAT I’VE DONE
A clear nod to ‘80s influences, this track embraces big pop sensibilities: bold basslines, soaring melodies, and an unapologetic guitar solo. It’s expansive and emotionally direct.

TIME WILL TAKE THIS ALL AWAY
The title track evolves from a central drum loop into a multi-part composition with progressive elements. Its shifting structure and layered vocal harmonies create a sense of movement and transition, tying together themes introduced earlier in the album.

COVER ME IN LOVE
Closing the album on a concise note, this track carries a post-apocalyptic atmosphere. With a heavy bassline and sampled voice, it gestures toward cycles of destruction and renewal: old structures collapsing to make way for new ones.

UKofA has spent the past 25 years navigating a wide and often unconventional musical path, from the intensity of hardcore metal to experimental choral work and beyond. As a founding force behind projects such as Godzilla Black and Hawk Eyes, UKofA developed a reputation for pushing boundaries while maintaining a strong melodic and conceptual core. With Hawk Eyes, this trajectory led to a PRS Momentum Grant in 2015 and years of intensive touring.

During that period, UKofA performed alongside major acts, appeared at prominent European festivals, and collaborated with a diverse range of artists across disciplines. These experiences broadened both musical vocabulary and creative perspective, laying the groundwork for later solo work.

Following a step back from live performance, partly shaped by the global pandemic, UKofA continued to write and record independently, releasing a series of albums that explored increasingly personal and experimental territory. These releases, often presented in handcrafted formats, emphasised a direct connection between artist and listener.

A return to the stage came unexpectedly, prompting a shift toward solo performance using samplers and loop-based setups. This new approach directly informed the creation of Time Will Take This All Away From Us, marking both a continuation and a reinvention of UKofA’s artistic identity.

With additional material already completed and further live performances planned, UKofA continues to evolve, restless, exploratory, and committed to finding new ways of shaping sound and meaning.

Boston-based mod-pop trio The Chelsea Curve are back, and they’re here to make you move, on their terms. Blending British mod vibes with Boston grit, the band is known for crafting punchy, infectious rock and roll that belongs equally in the clubs, the pubs, and your headphones.

Since forming in 2020, Linda Pardee (bass/vocals/keys), Tim Gillis (guitar/vocals/keys), and Bruce Caporal (drums/vocals/percussion) have built a reputation for high-energy, sing-along tunes inspired by ’70s punk, power pop, and mod style. Derry-born songwriter Colm Warren, formerly frontman of Belfast punk outfit The Twenty, continues his singular artistic journey with the release of his new single “Without You”, the first in a series of upcoming releases planned throughout 2026. Released on World Down Syndrome Day, the track is accompanied by a striking and heartfelt video created in collaboration with Down Syndrome Cork, already earning praise for its message of inclusion, compassion, and hope.

“Without You” marks another bold evolution in Warren’s career, which has seen him move from the raw urgency of punk to a richly textured, orchestral sound. After stepping away from music for nearly a decade, Warren re-emerged in 2020 with his debut solo single “Void,” followed by “Shame” and “Choked, a trilogy exploring themes of alienation and existential struggle. Subsequent releases such as “Just Me” and “September Roses” hinted at a more reflective and grounded perspective, while 2023’s “Truth,” a haunting duet with Irish performer Maeve Smyth, drew widespread acclaim and led to a landmark performance with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra at the National Concert Hall in Dublin. Now, with “Without You,” Warren turns his focus toward family. Written for his sister Emma McCarthy and inspired by her relationship with her son Ódhrán, the song is a tribute to the profound impact of children born with Down syndrome.

Warren explains, “Emma and her husband Joe’s relationship with my nephew Ódhrán is something special to behold. Despite the challenges they face, his impact has been nothing short of life-saving in the most beautiful way. He’s taught us all so much about love and what it truly means to be a good parent and a decent human being. This song was my way of telling her that I see that.”

The accompanying video, directed by Tetsuhiko Endo and produced by Therese Shannon at Rubberduck, places members of the Down Syndrome Cork community front and centre. Featuring performances from Sean McMahon, Emma O’Connor, David Wall and Mike Clifford, the video celebrates creativity, visibility, and joy, with participants cast as both performers and audience.

Endo notes, “We wanted to ensure that people with Down syndrome were unquestionably the protagonists. With the support of Down Syndrome Cork, we worked with an incredible group of young creatives who brought such commitment and energy to the project. It was a truly special experience.”

Nikky Slattery, Operations Manager at Down Syndrome Cork, described the collaboration as transformative, “This project gave our members a real sense of ownership and visibility. They weren’t just included, they were leading. It showcases their talent, confidence, and the joy they bring to every space they’re part of. It’s a powerful statement about inclusion in its truest sense.”

Musically, “Without You” blends Warren’s signature emotive vocal style with lush orchestration, featuring an arrangement by John Byrne performed by the Bulgarian Symphonic Orchestra. Recorded at The Nutshed Studio in Co. Offaly and produced by Joe Egan and John Byrne, the track exemplifies Warren’s commitment to artistic authenticity and emotional honesty.

The video has already been highlighted as “A Reason To Be Happy” on Newstalk’s Lunchtime Live, while TheJournal.ie praised both the song and its visual counterpart for their celebration of positivity and inclusion.

Katie Dauson is a dynamic singer-songwriter who hails from Richmond Hill, Ontario. Her music discography has been prominently featured in magazine publications such as Earmilk, Tinnitist, and Urbanista Magazine. Throughout her musical career, she has performed throughout the Toronto music scene, in notable venues, with an emphasis on garnering more of a sophisticated career in music, outside of pub culture. Dauson has an upcoming show on June 6th, 2026, at the El Mocambo in Toronto, Canada. Fans will surely go crazy for her live performances as she is known for her vibrant energy and charming repertoire.

She has had quite a journey in self-discovery which ultimately led to her music career today. Dauson’s talents are sourced not just from the right side of her brain, but also through research in science such as physics and astronomy. She has notably worked for Tom Bolton, an astronomer who discovered the first black hole before finding her footing in music. Through immersion of organic environments in live music, Dauson was able to get the courage to start performing live. She has amassed a loyal fanbase online through those experiences, who regularly look forward to her new releases.

Her influences stem from the 1960s era of psychedelic rock, with overall influences of rock, country, and the blues, particularly The Beatles and Strawberry Alarm Clock. Collaborating with James Nickle (her producer and engineer), she introduces reflective compositions and unique lyricism to her sound. Katie Dauson’s “Go Go Go” brings in a fresh interpretation of the genre filled with colors painted by her favorite bands of the 60s, particularly The Young Rascals. Independent artist, Katie Dauson has unveiled her latest single “Go Go Go”, a vivacious garage-rock track inspired by sounds of the 1960s, compelling audiences to get up off their feet with its catchy guitar riffs and upbeat tempo. Originally, the song wasn’t supposed to see the light of day, with Dauson unsure of its purpose and potential. The great thing about writing songs is that you can always bring them back to life, and create something new out of it, no matter how long it’s been since its composition. “I wrote this song initially two years ago and put it on ice, because even though I liked it, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with it. I finally decided to record it late last year and make it a single.” Musically, “Go Go Go” draws inspiration from 1960s rock and roll, specifically the Young Rascals first two albums “The Young Rascals” and “Groovin’.” The recording process was unique, as it always tends to be with Katie Dauson’s productions, with a left-handed Rickenbacker 1997 guitar to bring in those captivating riffs. “I do remember writing it on a sunny afternoon, and I definitely had in mind that I wanted people to be able to dance to this song.”

Originally from Cannes and born in Évreux, Mary Milton first came to national attention during the 2022 season of The Voice, where she reached the semi-finals as part of Amel Bent’s team. Since then, she has steadily built her reputation within the French and international music scenes, collaborating with artists including Black M, Youssoupha, and Franglish, opening for Matt Pokora, and participating in international projects alongside

Cynthia Erivo, including work connected to the series Emily in Paris.

In 2024, Milton introduced audiences to her debut EP What About Love, a project that

explored the many dimensions of love through a blend of soul, R&B, and pop influences. With “On My Shoulder,” she moves into more introspective territory, revealing a new depth to her songwriting.
