Genre: Pop, Indie Pop, Dream Pop, Electronic Pop, Dark Pop, Nordic Pop

For fans of: Billie Eilish, Tate McRae, Zara Larsson, AURORA, Tove Lo, RAYE, Alan Walker

A cinematic exploration of freedom, femininity, nature, and self-acceptance, inspired by the mythical forest spirit of Scandinavian folklore.

Norwegian alt-pop artist MIIA enters a bold new chapter with the release of her long-awaited debut album, Huldra, arriving July 13, 2026.

Produced by Benjamin Dan Ravn Fahre and Joachim JR Rygg, the album blends Pop, Indie Pop, Dream Pop, Electronic Pop, Dark Pop, and Nordic Pop. Huldra is an emotionally immersive body of work that transforms one of Scandinavia’s most fascinating mythological figures into a deeply personal story of liberation.

Fans of Billie Eilish, Tate McRae, Zara Larsson, AURORA, Tove Lo, RAYE, and Alan Walker will find themselves at home in MIIA’s cinematic soundscape, where soaring vocals meet atmospheric production and emotionally fearless songwriting.

In Norwegian, Swedish, and German folklore, the huldra is a mysterious forest spirit who lives beyond the boundaries of society. Beautiful, powerful, and impossible to control, she has long been portrayed as both seductive and terrifying. According to legend, she enchants wanderers with her irresistible voice, luring them deep into the forest where they are never seen again. Yet beneath her beauty lies a hollow back and a cow’s tail, symbols of the complexity that made her both desired and feared.

Over time, the mythology surrounding huldra has evolved. She has come to represent courage, independence, and the untamed power of nature itself. To MIIA, huldra is nature personified. Stunning in its beauty, immense in its power, and capable of both creation and destruction. That balance between light and darkness, tenderness and danger, mirrors the emotional landscape of the album.

“I’ve been fascinated by huldra for as long as I can remember,” says MIIA. “I’ve always felt connected to her, but I was also afraid of her. As I grew older, I understood why. Huldra was feared because she couldn’t be controlled, and because she had power. For years, I was afraid of my own power too. I wanted to be good, to be perfect, but perfection doesn’t exist.”

She continues:

“I hope this album inspires people to accept themselves completely, flaws and all. To allow themselves to fail, to explore creativity and sexuality without shame, and to embrace vulnerability, rage, softness, and strength as natural parts of being human. This is a journey toward self-love, freedom, and the death of shame.”

Across thirteen tracks, Huldra traces an emotional journey through love, heartbreak, desire, grief, healing, forgiveness, and self-discovery. Rather than offering simple answers, the album invites listeners to embrace contradiction and complexity. It celebrates the courage to stop performing for others and begin living authentically, even when that authenticity feels uncomfortable or misunderstood.

Originally from the coastal town of Kragerø, MIIA first broke onto the international stage at just sixteen years old when her debut single “Dynasty” premiered on Billboard in 2015. The song quickly reached number five on Spotify’s Global New Music Friday playlist, climbed to number two on the United States Viral 50 chart, surpassed one million streams in just twenty-three days, and has since accumulated more than 400 million streams worldwide.

Over the past decade, MIIA has built an acclaimed catalogue that includes fan favourites such as “Beautiful Creature,” the Inner Voices Speaking EP, an orchestral version of “Dynasty” recorded with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, and her appearance at Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix 2024 with “Green Lights.”

Her music has featured across film, television, trailers, and international campaigns, including UNICEF’s One Family Against a World of Climate Change. Alongside her music, MIIA has become known as a passionate advocate for gender equality, climate action, and human rights, using her platform to encourage empathy, honesty, and meaningful change.

At the heart of everything she creates is her devoted fan community, affectionately known as her “Beautiful Creatures.” Through daily conversations across social media, livestreams, and direct messages, MIIA has built a safe, imaginative space where emotional depth is celebrated and vulnerability is welcomed. Her music offers listeners permission to exist fully, embracing softness alongside strength, beauty alongside pain, and light alongside darkness.

With Huldra, MIIA delivers her most ambitious and deeply personal work to date. It is not simply an album. It is an invitation to reconnect with the wild parts of ourselves that were never meant to be hidden.

Mr Fib Announces Debut Album ‘Shades’: A Fearless Exploration of Identity, Transformation and Self-Discovery

LISTEN HERE | DOWNLOAD SONGS | MEDIA ASSETS

For Fans Of: Tom Misch, Jack Garratt, Jamie Woon, Bon Iver, Genesis Owusu, Kae Tempest

Following the success of his debut single “Beau,” which has amassed more than 10,000 streams, East Sussex artist Mr Fib unveils his debut album, Shades, an ambitious eight-track collection that blends alternative, indie rock, folk, soul, progressive pop and spoken word into a deeply personal statement of identity and transformation.

Behind the moniker is Gabriel Green, a 28-year-old multi-instrumentalist from Lewes whose musical journey began with violin lessons at the age of six. After studying music and spending five years working as a professional classical musician and teacher, Gabriel has stepped into a new creative chapter, writing, composing, arranging and performing every song across Shades himself.

Drawing inspiration from artists as varied as Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), Kendrick Lamar, Thin Lizzy, Muse, Lianne La Havas, Bon Iver, Sam Cooke and Quincy Jones, Mr Fib creates music that refuses easy categorisation. Echoes of artists including Tom Misch, Jack Garratt, Jamie Woon, Genesis Owusu and Kae Tempest can be heard throughout the record, yet Shades ultimately occupies a distinctive space of its own.

At its heart, Shades is an album about becoming. Growing up in a Catholic household and later embracing life as a queer artist, Gabriel explores questions of faith, identity, vulnerability and purpose with remarkable honesty. Classical composition meets guitar-driven songwriting, live sound manipulation and spoken word, allowing deeply personal stories to unfold across richly textured arrangements.

The album’s title carries multiple meanings. It reflects the emotional “shades” we hide behind, the perspectives through which we see ourselves and others, and the shelters we build for protection. It also references the Greek mythological concept of “shades”, souls waiting in the underworld before reincarnation. Throughout the album, these ideas intertwine, exploring the space between concealment and revelation, endings and renewal.

A pivotal turning point in Gabriel’s creative life came during a visit to a close friend in Sheffield, where an unforgettable night dancing inside a converted dry cleaners unlocked a new sense of freedom. It was there that spoken word and rap emerged as essential parts of his artistic voice, offering new ways to speak openly about mental health, vulnerability and self-acceptance.

Even the name Mr Fib reflects this balance between humour and introspection. Inspired partly by a memorable joke in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, it also reaches back to Gabriel’s childhood habit of inventing elaborate stories during school show-and-tell sessions. Rather than simply telling lies, those early performances became exercises in imagination, exploring versions of himself that felt just out of reach. Today, the name represents a belief that fiction and storytelling often reveal emotional truths more powerfully than facts alone.

Shades is ultimately an album that embraces contradiction rather than resolving it. Thoughtful yet accessible, intimate yet expansive, it offers listeners a space to sit with uncertainty while celebrating the complexity of becoming who we are.

Mr Fib has already begun building momentum with over 10,000 streams for his debut single “Beau”, alongside collaborations including “Savour” and a performance on Rob Quo’s “Now I See the Birds.” With Shades, he introduces himself fully as a singular new voice in British alternative music.

The Kountess Announces Debut EP「INIT」: A Journey Into Identity, Fantasy, and Self-Discovery

LISTEN HERE | MEDIA ASSETS

Genre: Pop, Electro-Pop | For Fans Of: Griff, Ariana Grande, JADE, Lady Gaga

Independent pop artist The Kountess invites listeners into her most personal work to date with the release of her debut EP, 「INIT」.

A cinematic blend of pop, electro-pop, fantasy, and emotional storytelling,「INIT」 serves as both an introduction and a transformation. Built around themes of self-discovery, introspection, and emotional duality, the five-track project captures a pivotal chapter in The Kountess’ artistic journey.

“This was the year that I started asking questions: Who am I? As an artist, as a person?” says The Kountess. “[INIT] was a moment of reflection, of what I prefer to call incubation. I wanted to escape from reality, shut out every voice and opinion influencing the way I feel, and tune into my inner world. It became a process of discovering all the versions of myself and meeting them up close.”

The EP’s title reflects the beginning of that process. Like a command to activate something hidden beneath the surface, this debut EP marks the initiation of a deeper exploration into identity and self-awareness. Throughout the project, The Kountess embraces the contradictions that make us human: chaotic yet thoughtful, angry yet kind, sad yet optimistic. Rather than seeking a singular version of herself, she celebrates the coexistence of them all.

Born from escapism and daydreams, The Kountess has built a creative universe where emotion and fantasy intertwine. Inspired by artists such as Ariana Grande, SZA, Tove Lo, and Lady Gaga, she transforms vulnerability into immersive pop experiences. Since releasing her debut singles in 2023 and earning recognition as a semifinalist in the International Songwriting Competition for “The Light” and “Independent,” she has continued developing a distinct artistic voice rooted in honesty, imagination, and self-expression.

Track-by-Track

1. intro
The EP opens with an escalating orchestral vortex that blends electropop with dark fantasy influences. Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, the track represents the exact moment of initiation, falling down the rabbit hole and entering an inner world detached from reality. Layers of ticking clocks subtly reference the White Rabbit, symbolizing The Kountess’ own anxieties about time slipping away. What follows is a spacious, reflective landscape of incubation and self-exploration.

2. Lucky Charm
Released as the project’s first single, “Lucky Charm” captures the euphoric rush of infatuation. Built around playful pop melodies, trap-inspired rhythms, and cinematic strings, the song explores the desire to keep someone close at all times, like a treasured lucky charm you never want to let go.

3. For Life
The EP’s second single unfolds like a perfect late-night drive. Bathed in chemistry, emotional intimacy, and wonder, “For Life” explores the feeling of being suspended in a moment so beautiful that you begin to question whether it could last forever. At its core lies a simple yet powerful question: Are you for life?

4. anything
One of the EP’s most introspective moments, “anything” confronts self-imposed limitations. The song reflects on the realization that sometimes we become our own greatest obstacle by believing we already know who we’re supposed to be. Through its message of surrender and self-acceptance, The Kountess encourages listeners to release control and allow themselves the freedom to become anything.

5. oh my love
The EP closes with its most intimate and hopeful offering. Inspired by journal entries written during a period of uncertainty, “oh my love” became a conversation between two versions of the same person: one overwhelmed by doubt and another offering reassurance from the future. Through themes of change, growth, and self-compassion, the song serves as a gentle reminder that transformation is not something to fear; it is an essential part of becoming who we are meant to be.

SCIZZORMAN Return with Psychedelic Funk Rock Single ‘Mystical Yeast’

LISTEN HERE | DOWNLOAD SONG | MEDIA ASSETS

Perth Alternative Funk Rock outfit SCIZZORMAN return with their vibrant new single, “Mystical Yeast”, the latest taste off their forthcoming concept album, How To Get Your Life Right With What’s Left.

Hailing from one of the world’s most geographically isolated cities, SCIZZORMAN have spent two decades carving out a distinctive sound that blends Funk, Neo-psychedelia, Glam Pop, Progressive Rock, Soul and Experimental grooves. Led by Songwriter/Drummer Terry J Vinci, the band continues to release music independently, embracing artistic freedom and pushing creative boundaries.

Clocking in at just under 5 minutes, “Mystical Yeast” rides a signature funk groove while taking aim at modern fashionable dilemmas and first-world gossip culture. The song drifts between grounded observation and psychedelic escapism, transporting listeners into an imaginative mythical landscape where everyday concerns dissolve into a colourful sonic adventure.

“Mystical Yeast” first began taking shape in late 2024 after Terry overcame an extended period of writer’s block through a series of creative trips to Melbourne. A change of scenery reignited the song writing process, allowing both the lyrics and musical direction to gradually emerge.

Recording commenced following bassist Cody Robson’s return to Perth in early 2025, with Page Six Studios ready to track the rhythm section within a fortnight, given the studios upcoming demolition and relocation. Drawing from their mutual love and fascination with Flea and Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, it soon became apparent this particular tracks was a culmination of Cody and Terrys Bass and Drum sound that began way back in 2000.

With Engineer Adrian Vinci behind the controls, only a handful of takes were needed to capture their own original funk groove that would become the backbone to “Mystical Yeast”. Terry later added Lead Vocals, while Guitarist Stewart Herbertson contributed Lead Guitar, Synthesizers, Vocal Harmonies and an eastern-inspired middle section, before delivering a soaring guitar solo that became one of the track’s defining moments.

Produced by SCIZZORMAN and engineered by Adrian Vinci, “Mystical Yeast” captures the chemistry of longtime collaborators, creating without compromise or expectation.

SCIZZORMAN’s journey began in 2005 with a passion for crafting original recorded works. Their self-titled debut album introduced a unique blend of rock, funk and soul, with opening track “Bubble” earning Finalist recognition at the National Music Oz Awards. The follow-up album, Awake to Dream, expanded their sound through Folk, Punk and Jazz influences, while 2015’s Buried Pleasures showcased collaborations and remixes that later received successful US College Radio airplay. In 2018, the single “Beautiful Child” achieved high rotation across radio stations, both in Canada and the United States.

Following a post-pandemic hiatus and renewed creative momentum, SCIZZORMAN now return with How To Get Your Life Right With What’s Left, a concise concept album that reflects the band’s evolving artistic vision. Bold, adventurous and unmistakably their own, the project invites listeners into a world of audio sensory escapism that leaves them wanting more.

Lucy Robinson Releases New Single ‘Let Down’ – A Funky, Soulful Anthem Against Hustle Culture

LISTEN HERE | DOWNLOAD SONG | MEDIA ASSETS

Northern Irish-born, Leeds-based singer-songwriter Lucy Robinson returns with her latest single, Let Down; a vibrant, feel-good alt-pop release that encourages listeners to slow down, switch off, and give themselves permission to breathe.

Written by Lucy Robinson and producer Matt Weir, Let Down blends dreamy pop, gritty rock, soul, funk, and electronica into an infectious groove that feels tailor-made for clocking off after a long day. While the track’s upbeat energy and irresistible rhythm invite listeners onto the dancefloor, its message tackles a growing modern dilemma: the relentless pressure to always be doing more.

“I don’t know what algorithm I’m on, but I feel like I’m constantly hit with videos of people cramming a million things into every day,” says Robinson. “I used to find it inspiring, but now I’m actively trying to undo the pressure that’s caused in my brain. ‘Eat. Sleep. Hustle. Repeat.’ and ‘No days off’ are toxic slogans. We aren’t meant to be hustling this much.”

With burnout becoming an increasingly familiar reality for creatives, professionals, parents and entrepreneurs alike, Let Down captures the fantasy of stepping away from society’s expectations and embracing a slower pace of life. For Robinson, the song reflects her own journey as an independent artist navigating the demands of being simultaneously performer, manager, marketer, booking agent and creative director.

“Hustle doesn’t equal sustainable,” she explains. “As an independent artist, I’m learning that stopping and taking care of yourself is just as important as pushing forward.”

Musically, Let Down is powered by an exceptional lineup of musicians. Robinson’s soulful vocals and guitar work sit alongside producer Matt Weir’s dynamic drums and production, grooving bass from Si Frances, lush backing vocals from Abbey Peacock and Holly Mullahy, and the unmistakable Hammond organ of John McCullough, renowned for his work with Van Morrison.

The result is a funky, soulful pop gem filled with punchy drums, warm harmonies, infectious hooks and an irresistible sense of joy.

Blending heartfelt lyrics with reflective melodies, “Holdin On” captures the experience of carrying someone’s memory long after they’re gone.

The story behind “Holdin On” begins in October 2021, when Pannella reconnected with one of his closest friends, Thomas, after weeks of focusing on a demanding new job. The two spent time together in Colorado, sharing conversations about life, philosophy, future plans, and the excitement of what lay ahead.

Just days later, on October 13, 2021—Pannella’s birthday—everything changed.

After waking up to birthday messages, including one from Thomas wishing him a happy birthday, Pannella waited for his friend to arrive so they could begin celebrating. When Thomas never showed, confusion quickly turned to heartbreak after a devastating phone call revealed that he had suffered a fatal heart attack while at work.

“I couldn’t process it at first,” Pannella recalls. “I reread that message a hundred times, then read it again. I was the last person from our group of friends to see him alive. It sent a shockwave through our community.”

What was meant to be a celebration with friends became a day of grief. Thomas was widely loved and remembered for his authenticity, kindness, and unwavering support of those around him.

“Thomas was one of the biggest supporters of my music,” says Pannella. “At the time, I was still an amateur. I didn’t even sing, even though he always encouraged me to. I ended up waiting until last year to finally start.”

The loss left a lasting mark.

“It is a brutal experience to lose somebody who understands you,” Pannella says. “Every October 13th, I think about that day.”

Through “Holdin On,” Pannella channels those emotions into a song dedicated to the people who leave an unforgettable impact on our lives.

“This is a song for the lost,” he explains. “For the people who changed the course of your life. For the friends we’ve lost and the memories that never leave us.”

While Thomas will never have the opportunity to hear the finished song, Pannella believes his friend would have loved it.

“Even though my friend will never listen to it, I know he would have loved it.”
